Dr. Saini is Triple Board Certified. This means he holds the following board certifications:

• American Board of Allergy-Immunology
• Clinical Laboratory Immunology
• American Board of Pediatrics

Dr. Saini is one of the few triple board certified allergists in Southern California and is known for spending time with his patients to deliver high quality care. Trained by world-renown experts, he specializes in treating asthma, hayfever, sinusitis, recurrent bronchitis, food allergies, eczema, and other challenging allergic conditions.

Though trained for both adults and children, Dr. Saini’s pediatric background and his own children make him a very family friendly doctor.

Sunil K. Saini, M.D., originally
from Ohio, graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992. At Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Saini completed a three year residency program in Pediatrics. He then pursued an Allergy-Immunology fellowship at Northwestern University, Chicago, where he received training from world renowned experts in both adult and pediatric allergy. In 1998, Dr. Saini completed an additional fellowship in Clinical Laboratory Immunology at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Saini has been published in several medical journals. You may have also seen him quoted in local newspapers. He is past President of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Inland Counties.

As the Assistant Clinical Professor for the Division of Allergy-Immunology at the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Saini trains future allergists.

Dr. Saini participates in numerous medical associations, and has volunteered at asthma camps sponsored by the American Lung Association, including as Medical Director. Dr. Saini has brought the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology's National Asthma Screening Program to local health fairs.

Karen Allgaeir, FNP

Born and raised right here in Southern California, Karen Allgaier, FNP comes to Dr. Saini's practice with a LOT of experience.  She oversaw the operation of the Web Schools Health Center in Claremont for 10 years, where she also supervised and mentored a team of registered nurses.  Before that, she worked in the emergency room at Citrus Valley Medical Center and San Dimas Community Hospital over a number of years.

Those of you who know Dr. Saini, know that he has high standards and expectations.  As many patients have told us, his staff is outstanding.  When he decided to bring on a Nurse Practitioner to be able to provide you with better service, he applied those same high standards to his search, and found Karen Allgaier, FNP.  Over a period of time, Dr. Saini has trained Karen methodically in the specialty area of allergies and asthma.

Karen Allgaier, FNP has a Masters in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, and received her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification from the University of California, Irvine in 2008.  She completed her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the California State University, Fullerton with honors, as well as her Public Health Nurse Certification in 1998.  Previously, she had completed an Associate degree in Nursing from Pasadena City College, with honors for superior achievement.
